Katherina Reiche, MdB, Steps Down From Cytolon's Supervisory Board to Become a Member of the Federal Government of Germany
Berlin, November 12th 2009 – Cytolon AG announced today that Katherina Reiche, MdB, has resigned as a member of the Company's Supervisory Board after her appointment as a member of the Federal Government of Germany as parliamentary state secretary at the Ministry for the Environment (BMU).
Dr. Pia Krone, Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board states "Since it is unlawful to be a member of the Federal Government and of the Supervisory Board of a company at the same time, she had to resign to her position in our company". Thomas Klein, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Cytolon AG declared "we regret the loss of Katherina Reiche from the Supervisory Board since she was a key person during the start-up phase of this company and it was a great pleasure to work with her". Dr. Pia Krone and Thomas Klein also affirmed "we are glad for her and wish her great success in her political career, where she will undoubtedly make important contributions in the stem cell and healthcare fields".
