Cytolon gains Patent for CordMatch® in Australia
Cytolon has acquired a patent in Australia for the IT-Matching Platform CordMatch® as part of the ongoing applications for a series of patents.
Berlin, 11 April 2011. Cytolon has acquired a patent in Australia for the IT-Matching Platform CordMatch® as part of the ongoing applications for a series of patents. The Australian Patent office has granted the Berlin-based company a so-called “Innovation Patent.”
“We are very pleased about the Australian Innovation Patent for our IT-Matching Platform, CordMatch®,” said Thomas Klein, founder and CEO of Cytolon AG. “With our newly developed and unique platform, we are able to use a web-based dialog to enable the identification of an optimal stem cell transplantation for leukemia patients worldwide. This platform offers efficient and cost saving solutions to registries and cord blood banks, on one hand, and transplantation centers, on the other hand. Furthermore CordMatch® is the first platform to set a standard for the simultaneous transplantation of multiple stem cell units,” Klein continued.
