CordMatch® goes live
Berlin, June 24th 2010 - Cytolon AG announced today going live with the release 1.0 of the CordMatch® platform. After 18 months of market research and hundreds of interviews with health care professionals from transplantation centers (TCs), cord blood banks (CBBs) and involved organizations, a comprehensive set of specifications was created. This was the basis for designing a superior platform. CordMatch® was built by Cytolon´s partner, Computer Science Corporation “CSC”, one of the top leaders in the healthcare information technology field. In these last few months, the CordMatch® platform release 1.0 was tested by selected TCs, CBBs and it is now going live for a beta test in the market during the next nine months.
CordMatch® is unique and the first comprehensive platform designed especially for the matching of cord blood units, particularly for providing solutions for transplantations that require multiple cord blood units. Moreover, the dialog-oriented user interfaces are state-of-the-art and facilitates the processes from search to transplantation, thus decreasing the time and workload needed by health care professionals to find the appropriate match(es) for a patient.
Thomas Klein, founder and CEO of Cytolon AG, stated, “we are thrilled to see such an innovative idea come to completion and become functional.” Furthermore, Klein added, “more patients will now be able to get the best-matched solution in the shortest amount of time” and “we invite CBBs and TCs to participate on this impressive advancement during the ß-testing phase.”
