Dr. Pia Krone, Co-Founder and Chair of the Supervisory Board

Dr. Pia Krone has been working as a lawyer in Berlin in corporation law for the past 14 years.  During this time she has represented many companies in the areas of transactions, restructuring and start-up processes. Dr. Pia Krone is a co-founder of Krone Management and Technologie GmbH & Co KG, a family run business with a focus on small and medium-sized technology companies. Prior to that Dr. Krone worked in international investment banking for the companies Lehman Brothers, Schroders and JP Morgan Chase in London.

Dr. Jürgen Schumacher, Vice-Chairman of the Supervisory Board

Jürgen Schumacher is an internationally recognized German entrepreneur. He is a co-founder of Qiagen AG the biggest German biotechnology company and principal founder of NewLab Bioquality AG which he sold to Charles River Laboratories International Inc. in 2008.  In addition to a versatile involvement in industry associations and other organizations, Mr. Schumacher invests in start-up and growth phase technology companies with exceptional prospects and outstanding management.

Prof. Dr. Joachim W. Dudenhausen, FRCOG, Co-Founder and Member of the Supervisory Board

Dr. Dudenhausen holds a Senior Fellowship at Weill Cornell Medical School, New York City. Until March 2010, he was for many years Head of the Obstetrics Clinics of the Charité in Berlin, which boasts more than 5000 births annually. He is an internationally recognized scientist with more than 500 publications and books. Since 1983, Dr. Dudenhausen has been Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Perinatal Medicine. Dr. Dudenhausen holds a multiplicity of national and international awards.

Dr. Timm Jessen, Member of the Supervisory Board

Dr. Timm Jessen is CEO of Bionamics GmbH. Its mission is to identify, develop and evaluate high-quality life science projects. In addition, Dr. Jessen heads the consultancy firm SCIENAMICS GmbH which provides consultancy services to spin-offs, start-ups, young biotech companies and investors pertaining to managerial issues, business development and science marketing. From 1997 to 2004 Timm Jessen was the head of Evotec AG’s Research Department in Hamburg (Germany). Prior to this, he was Head of Biotechnology at Hoechst Marion Russel.

Mr. Wolfgang Jünger, Member of the Supervisory Board

Wolfgang Jünger is an entrepreneur, management consultant and investor. He has been a senior partner of a leading US consulting firm responsible for global small to mid-sized corporate finance transactions. Since then, he has held several management positions in business development and finances in industry, as well as engaging in own industrial investments in Asia.

Michaela Servas, Member of the Supervisory Board  

Michaela Servas is both entrepreneur and investor. As marketing head and project manager, she has been responsible for top brands in a family-owned industrial group. In the past she financially invested in several healthcare projects. Michaela Servas also worked as a board member of an industrial association.
