Thomas Klein

Thomas Klein - Founder & CEO

Thomas Klein is the founder and CEO of Cytolon AG. He focuses on the company’s strategy, business development and marketing of the matching platform CordMatch®. As the CEO, Thomas Klein is responsible for development measures and external communication. With more than 20 years of professional experience as an entrepreneur, he has a proven track record in biotechnology and IT. Before establishing Cytolon, he successfully founded NOXXON Pharma AG. In addition, he was co-founder and chair of the supervisory board of the software company ARCWAY AG.
For more than nine years, Thomas Klein has been the CEO of NOXXON Pharma AG. He founded this company as spin-off of the Free University of Berlin in 1997, setting up a novel pharmaceutical technology platform. He concluded multiple large cooperation agreements with pharmaceutical companies. In 2006, Thomas Klein closed a multi million USD product development deal with Pfizer. Today, NOXXON is one of Germany’s top independent bio-pharmaceutical companies. The company has several own products in clinical development.
The company ARCWAY AG has been the first spin-off of the Hasso-Plattner-Institut für Softwaresystemtechnik (HPI), initiated by Thomas Klein in 2004 as seed investor. Until 2010, Thomas Klein chaired ARCWAY’s supervisory board and in this function supported the company in its start-up phase and later on during its expansion phases.

 

Isabel Feys

Isabel Feys, MBA – Vice President Partnering

Since September 2010 Isabel Feys heads Cytolon’s Sales and Marketing Department and is in charge of its expansion.
Isabel Feys was awarded a Bachelor in Health Care Management and a Master in Marketing by the University of Brugge (Belgium). After six years of heading the pharmaceutical sales divisions of two multinational pharmaceutical groups, she obtained her Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 2010 with a major in international management. The focus of her work at Cytolon is the accreditation of clinics and stem cell banks in Europe and the United States of America.

Ralf Schliehe-Diecks

Ralf Schliehe-Diecks, M. Sc. – Vice President IT Systems

Since January 2010 Ralf Schliehe-Diecks is the Vice President IT Systems of Cytolon AG. He is heading the Development Department and is responsible for the operation of IT systems. His activities focus on coordinating international IT projects with partner clinics, registries, cord blood banks and IT cooperation partners such as Cytolon’s German-American IT and hosting partner CSC.
Prior to Cytolon, Ralf Schliehe-Diecks has been the responsible project head of ARCWAY AG and in charge of designing software architecture, defining comprehensive specifications developed in international workshops and preparing the call for tender on the development and hosting agreement. Ralf Schliehe-Diecks is an experienced IT project manager and business analyst who gained more than eight years of experience in IT, particularly in the specification of IT systems and coordination of IT development teams.

Helmut Meyer

Diplom-Kaufmann Helmut C. Meyer, Consultant and acting Vice President Financing & Controlling

Since February 2011 Helmut Meyer has the overall responsibility for the Commercial Department including internal services, financing, controlling, HR and contracting. He holds a position as authorized signatory.
During his professional career Helmut Meyer has set up and headed commercial departments of various medium- and large-sized companies. In the context of these activities he was also responsible for large-scale M&A projects. Working as business manager for various large companies for many years, he prepared and was responsible for the consolidated annual and quarterly financial statements pursuant to HGB (German Commercial Code) and US-GAAP of up to 25 corporations. His work at Cytolon focusses on optimizing internal services and all business activities and processes and preparing a possible segment change of Cytolon.

Sunghee Cho

Sunghee Cho - Senior Consultant Corporate Development Asia

Sunghee Cho is an expert in strategy and business development. She has more than 13 years of experience as consultant of different international clients. Sunghee Cho had a senior-position at IHS CERA and worked as project manager for TSB Technology Foundation in Berlin. Cho is a founding member and CEO of a biotechnology start-up in Berlin. Since 2009 Sunghee Cho is supporting Cytolon in matters of strategy and business development in Asia. She holds a degree in mathematics and economics of Georgetown University and took classes at Harvard University.
